Wendy Shay‘s performance at the 23 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which came off on Friday, May 5, 2022, came under some criticism despite the applause she equally received for putting up a good show.

For most of the people who criticized her, they pointed out the fact that her voice on the night was not the best, and also her use of some swear words was very unfortunate.

Amid the backlash from some netizens, Wendy Shay has taken to her Twitter timeline to clap back at her critics.

In a tweet, she blame the band for the glitch in her performance and went ahead to brag about putting up one of the most thrilling performances on the first day of this year’s awards.

She stated her vocals, choreography, and costume were so on point on the night that no one has any cause to even complain.

Wendy Shay further asked all her critics to stop hating on her and humble themselves so she wins the first Grammy award for mother Ghana.

‘Obviously there was a technical hitch from my band..I pulled thru with a Thrilling Top Notch performance at the just ended VGMA’s,..Vocals, Choreo, Costume, all on POINT! yet we had some ppl still hating ..so won’t U people humble Urself so I take U to the Grammys! Ghana wake up!’
