Ghanaian radio presenter Nana Romeo has opened up about the journey that led to his current role at Okay FM, a station under the prestigious Despite Media Group.

In an exclusive interview with Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, the former Accra FM host shared how his longtime dream of joining Despite Media finally became a reality, much sooner than even he expected.

According to Nana Romeo, the idea of working with Despite Media was not a new one. He confessed that it had always been a personal dream, one he constantly prayed about and kept alive through sheer determination.

However, it was only recently that he began to feel that his opportunity was finally coming. “I started having that strong instinct that something was about to happen,” he told Zionfelix with a smile.

He added that the hope grew stronger when he was surprisingly invited to join the panel of the widely watched United Showbiz show on UTV.

According to him, he felt that was no ordinary invitation but a sign that his dream was finally going to materialize.

The broadcaster who is known in private life as Abdul Karim added that it finally became a reality when renowned broadcaster Abeiku Santana received an appointment to the position of deputy CEO at the Ghana Tourism Authority.

He mentioned that after Abeiku Santana moved, he received a personal call from none other than Fadda Dickson, the Chief Executive Officer of Despite Media.

Nana Romeo disclosed that the meeting to seal the entire deal was wrapped up in less than ten minutes and that was the also his biggest move in the radio industry with regards to the money he received.
