A group of devoted fans of dancehall star Shatta Wale has stormed the premises of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) to demand the release of their music icon.
In a trending video circulating online, the fans can be seen singing songs of the award-winning musician as a show of solidarity.
Some carried placards, while others chanted that Shatta Wale is “not a criminal” and should be released without delay.
The demonstration follows Shatta Wale’s detention by EOCO on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as part of ongoing investigations into his yellow Lamborghini Urus.
Shatta Wale’s management has since clarified in a press statement that the car was legitimately purchased from New Patriotic Party (NPP) politician Adu-Boahen, stressing that the artist did not know about any irregularities surrounding the vehicle.
His manager, Sammy Flex, further confirmed that Shatta Wale voluntarily presented himself at EOCO’s office with his lawyer and was later granted a GH¢10 million bail bond with two sureties.
Despite reassurances from his legal team that the matter is being addressed, fans say they will continue to rally until their idol is cleared.
