Sarkodie has come out to give an assurances to the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah that his team will strictly comply with all regulations as preparations intensify for this year’s Rapperholic concert at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Earlier today, Wednesday September 24, 2025, the NSA Director General issued a stern caution during an interview on Asempa FM.
He emphasized that although the stadium could host the event, the pitch itself remains off-limits and must not be tampered with.
“We will ensure he [Sarkodie] doesn’t damage the Baba Yara pitch. Using the venue is permitted, the pitch is prohibited. If there’s any breach of this arrangement, there will be serious penalties,” Ampofo Ankrah warned.
Reacting to the caution, Sarkodie took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight, assuring fans and authorities alike of his commitment.
“The rules were set from day one, and we are not ready to break it,” he stated.
As it stands now, plans are far advanced for the first ever edition of the Rapperholic Concert named the Homecoming in the garden city come Saturday.
In the early hours of today, September 24, 2025, Sarkodie and his led a huge crowd to embark on what they dubbed the legacy walk in the principal streets of Kumasi.
