Debate over where highlife legend Daddy Lumba should lie has flared up again, with his younger sister defending the current burial arrangement.
Speaking in a TikTok video, Faustina Fosu said the late musician had made it clear he wanted to be laid to rest at his East Legon home. She dismissed growing calls for his remains to be exhumed, cautioning against reopening a matter she believes should be settled.
According to her, disturbing the grave could bring unnecessary tension and uncertainty, insisting that the family should respect what she understands to be his final wish.
“It was my brother’s wish to be buried there. I don’t want any issues concerning a dead person, so if he made that request and it has been honoured, I see no reason why anyone should go and dig up his body.
“I don’t know what might happen if we exhume his remains. So, I would suggest that if he has a resting place, we should allow him to rest in peace,” she said.

Faustina was quick to point out that her stance is not drawn from firsthand knowledge of the will itself. She acknowledged that she was not present for any formal reading of the document said to contain those instructions.
Instead, she explained that the family relied on communication from the musician’s lawyers, who reportedly relayed his burial preference.
“I heard that he wanted to be buried at his residence. His lawyers were the ones who told us, but I did not witness them reading the will,” Faustina Fosu added.
