Reports reaching us indicate that Ghanaian musician Mzbel’s manager, Emmanuel Boafo Opare, popularly known as Mod Dee, was involved in a serious car accident earlier today, May 15, at the Aburi Road.
According to sources, the unfortunate incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. while Mod Dee was traveling back to Accra from Koforidua.
It is alleged that he had gone to pick up his younger brother from Pope John Senior High School before the accident happened.
The founder of Shadout TV was reportedly in the vehicle with his sister and younger brother at the time of the crash. Heavy rainfall along the Aburi stretch is said to have contributed to the accident.
Fortunately, despite the severity of the crash, no lives were lost. Sources say all occupants of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries and are currently receiving care and recovering well.
Photos from the scene reveal that the vehicle involved was badly damaged beyond repairs.
We extend our prayers and well wishes to Mod Dee and his family during this difficult moment. Thankfully, the situation did not result in any fatalities.
We will continue to follow the story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
