The late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo demonstrated remarkable faith in God during her final battle with cancer, according to her brother, Caleb Afaglo.

Speaking at a one-week vigil held in her honour at the Green Flavour Events Centre in Community 9, Tema, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, Caleb shared emotional details about the actress’s final days and her unwavering belief in divine healing.

Beverly Afaglo passed away at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema after reportedly battling cancer for two years.

During her illness, she is said to have travelled to the United States for medical treatment before eventually returning to Ghana to be closer to her family.

According to Caleb Afaglo, the family explored every available option in an effort to help Beverly recover. However, as her condition progressed, the actress reportedly made a personal decision to stop taking medication and place her trust entirely in God’s healing power.

“I am yet to see a woman of faith like she was in the end,” Caleb said. “Ama Afaglo Baah refused medicine because she believed God was going to heal her.

She was tired of the poking in her arms, legs, and hands. She believed strongly that God was going to give her peace.”

Caleb reflected on what he described as his sister’s deep spiritual conviction, explaining that she found comfort in her faith despite the challenges she faced.

He noted that peace can take different forms, adding that while some may associate it with physical healing, others may find it in eternal rest and comfort.

“Sometimes our peace may mean healing, but God’s peace may mean giving you a dwelling place of comfort. Ama’s dwelling place of peace today is in God’s bosom,” he said.

He further revealed that Beverly passed away peacefully just four days before what would have been her 43rd birthday.

Since news of her passing emerged, tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues, friends, fans, and members of the Ghanaian entertainment industry, many of whom have remembered her for her talent, resilience, and positive impact on the lives of those around her.
