Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, has once again demonstrated his popularity beyond Ghana’s borders after receiving an outpouring of love from fans during a recent outing in London.

The award-winning musician is currently in the United Kingdom to promote the upcoming Shattafest UK concert, which is scheduled to take place on August 1, 2026.

As part of preparations for the event, Shatta Wale visited Copthall Fields on Thursday, June 4, 2026, to inspect the venue expected to host thousands of music lovers. Reports indicate that the venue has a maximum capacity of approximately 20,000 people.

The Shatta Movement boss made a grand arrival at the venue in a black Rolls-Royce before being taken on a tour of the event grounds by members of his team and organisers.

However, it was his interaction with fans on the streets of London that quickly became the highlight of the day.

In a trending video circulating on social media, Shatta Wale was seen accompanied by his Public Relations Officer, Sammy Baah, and other members of his entourage when he was approached by several admirers eager to take photographs with him.

A family believed to be Ghanaian reportedly spotted the musician while driving and immediately expressed excitement at seeing him. The woman behind the wheel parked her vehicle and rushed over to pose for a photo with the artiste, affectionately calling him by his real name, “Nii Armah.” Another family member also joined in for a memorable snapshot.

The excitement did not end there. A tall white man walking with a young girl approached the musician for a photograph, while a woman who identified herself as German and her children also seized the opportunity to meet the Ghanaian star.

Several other passersby, including a young white woman and a black man, lined up to take photos with the dancehall icon before he continued his walk through the city.

In a gesture that further endeared him to onlookers, Shatta Wale was also seen greeting and shaking hands with a bus driver who had briefly stopped on the road.
