Kumawood actor Kwabena Boakye has provided what appears to be a major update in his ongoing public disagreement with actress and philanthropist Vivian Jill Lawrence.
The actor posted what he described as a duplicate copy of the agreement on his Facebook wall on the night of Thursday, June 25, 2026, indicating that the matter had been settled.
According to Kwabena Boakye, he received a settlement and other benefits from Vivian Jill, stressing that he did not beg for any of them but rather received what he believed he was rightfully entitled to after years of working with the actress.
The document shared by the actor, which is dated June 22, 2026, appears to be a court agreement between Vivian Jill Lawrence and Kwabena Boakye. Among the terms outlined in the document are an alleged compensation payment of GH¢80,000, an understanding that the actor would refrain from making further public statements against Vivian Jill after receiving the compensation, and an arrangement indicating that he would be sent back to France, with visa preparations reportedly to be handled by Vivian Jill.
In the Facebook post accompanying the document, Kwabena Boakye suggested that the settlement was not an act of charity but a recognition of what he deserved.
He maintained that he had never begged for money or favours from the actress, insisting that the agreement reflected an acknowledgment of his contributions over the years.

The latest development comes after days of public exchanges in which Kwabena Boakye accused Vivian Jill of underpaying him during the period they worked together and claimed that his loyalty to the actress had negatively affected his career. His allegations sparked widespread debate within the Ghanaian entertainment industry and across social media.
The alleged agreement has since generated fresh discussions online, with some social media users viewing it as evidence that the parties had reached an amicable settlement, while others questioned the circumstances surrounding the document and the decision to make it public.
As of the time of filing this report, Vivian Jill Lawrence had not publicly commented on Kwabena Boakye’s latest Facebook post or confirmed the authenticity of the document.
