Popular Kumasi-based media personality, DJ KA, has finally broken his silence following the circulation of his alleged leaked private video on social media.
The Kessben FM presenter made his first public appearance since the controversy when he joined fellow media personality El Lizato for a TikTok Live session on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Speaking during the live broadcast, DJ KA rendered an unreserved apology to his fans, family, employers and everyone who has been disappointed by the unfortunate incident.
According to him, the reason he decided to come out and address the issue was not because of the insults and trolling on social media.
He explained that what has affected him the most is the shame and disgrace he is currently battling in his mind.
DJ KA also disclosed that the private video currently making rounds online was recorded over four years ago.
He alleged that ever since the recording was made, someone has been using it to blackmail him for money over the years.
According to the broadcaster, he had complied with the person’s demands on several occasions. However, he claimed that the latest amount the individual demanded became too much for him to pay.
“I got tired of the blackmail,” he indicated, adding that his refusal to pay the latest demand allegedly resulted in the person leaking the private video online.
Despite the unfortunate situation, DJ KA pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive him, stressing that he deeply regrets what has happened and never intended for the private recording to become public.
Currently, he has been suspended by his employers who stated in a letter that they are taking him off air to give him some space to psychological heal and deal with the matter under proper guidance.
