Top Ghanaian female musicians Becca, Mzvee, and Adina are so far the top three musicians Lynxx Entertainment signed musician, Kuami Eugene has written songs for with taking a penny according to him in an interview.
In the interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the Rockstar stated that he wrote the songs for these three female superstars for free without thinking twice about it because he considered it a great privilege to have written songs for them.
Kuami Eugene told Andy Dosty that when the call about Becca’s need for him to write a song for her came, he gladly decided to write the song for free because he considers Becca a big star. Also, for Mzvee, he considers her a big star and sister and someone who has been holding him down since he came into the industry. Kuami Eugene also stated that to have written a song for someone, who has won the best female vocalist two years in a row at the VGMA, he considered it a great privilege and as such his failure to take a penny when he wrote a song for her.
When asked if he is afraid that at some point, Ghanaians may no longer be enthusiastic about his songs like they do now because they have heard from him a lot of times, he stated that he feels that will never happen. He used the practical cases of Sarkodie and Shatta Wale as examples, emphasizing that it will even give him a lot of songs to perform when he steps on stage as these two heavyweights do.
