Black Sherif Earns BET Awards 2025 Nomination For Best International Act

Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has been nominated for the Best International Act at the 2025 BET Awards, scheduled to take place on June 9 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The nomination marks another major milestone for the 22-year-old artist, whose songs continues to captivate audiences across Africa and beyond.

The announcement was made ahead of the 25th anniversary of the BET Awards, which is themed to celebrate “Culture’s Biggest Night.”

Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, joins a competitive roster of nominees in the Best International Act category, including: Tyla (South Africa), Aya Nakamura (France), Central Cee (UK), Tems (Nigeria), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Raye (UK), Karol Conká (Brazil).

The nomination reflects an outstanding year for Black Sherif.

The release of “Oh Paradise (Remix)”, the successful rollout of his debut US tour, with sold-out stops in cities like New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, a headline performance at the Afro Nation Portugal 2024 and others appears to have helped him achieve this feet.
