Ghanaian rapper, Tulenkey, has called out the organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for what he describes as intentional neglect in the last four years.

In a tweet he made after the nominee for the 2023 awards event was released on social media, the musician who is known in private life as Chief Osei Bonsu suggested that organizers of the awards event were being partial.

According to him, he has released a lot of rap songs that are very dope in his opinion in the last four years, however, whenever the nominee’s list for that particular category is released during the year under review, he is always left out.

Tulenkey indicated that for the last four years, he has released dope rap songs like ‘Point Of View, Undertaker, Child Abuse, Forever 96’, respectively but he has not been given the needed recognition.

He went on to suggest that his constant neglect of the category by the organizers only goes to prove that some things in the music industry, including giving regard to people who really deserve it is never appreciated.

His full tweet reads:

‘I’ve been dropping the hardest rap joints ever since I touched down. Last year was Point Of View, the year before was Undertaker, before that Child Abuse, Forever ‘96 and not even a single nomination for Best Rap Performance? I guess somethings are never appreciated.’
