Ghanaian social media personalities Asantewaa and Hagar Brobbey have reportedly suffered a hotel room theft in Kumasi after a suspected burglar allegedly entered their room and made away with their mobile phones.
The incident has sparked reactions on social media, particularly after reports emerged that Hagar Brobbey lost two expensive smartphones, an iPhone 17 and an iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The news was brought to public attention by Ghanaian blogger Serwaa Talks, who shared details of the alleged incident on TikTok on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
According to the blogger’s post, Asantewaa had also shared a message on Snapchat confirming the reported theft.
The available account suggests that the suspect took all the mobile phones that were in the hotel room, leaving the two social media personalities without their devices.
Among the reported losses, Hagar Brobbey is said to have lost an iPhone 17 and an iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The two devices are believed to have been among the phones taken during the alleged break-in.
However, neither Asantewaa nor Hagar Brobbey has publicly reported the loss of any other personal belongings in the information surrounding the incident.
The reported theft has attracted attention because mobile phones play a significant role in the work of social media influencers, who rely on their devices to create content, communicate with followers and manage their online platforms.
The alleged loss of several phones in one incident has therefore raised concerns among fans and other social media users.
Following reports of the incident, a video began circulating on social media showing Asantewaa and Hagar Brobbey at a police station alongside another colleague.
The footage appears to show the women visiting the station, reportedly to report the alleged theft and seek assistance from the authorities.
The video quickly attracted attention across social media platforms, with some followers expressing concern over the incident while others questioned how the alleged burglar gained access to the hotel room.
However, the circumstances surrounding the reported entry into the room have not been fully established in the information available.
