Ghanaian television personality Regina Van Helvert has come under heavy criticism on social media after an awkward question she asked actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui during the red carpet session of the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
The TGMA red carpet was filled with exciting celebrity fashion moments, entertaining interviews and viral interactions, however Regina’s conversation with Fella Makafui has become one of the most talked-about moments from the night.
During the live interview, Regina asked Fella a question many viewers considered uncomfortable and unnecessary.
“If your ex-husband saw you tonight, what do you think he’d say? We didn’t mention names oo, we just said if your ex sees you tonight, what do you think he will be thinking?” Regina asked.
The unexpected question appeared to catch Fella Makafui off guard for a brief moment, but the actress handled the situation calmly while laughing off the comment.
Responding sharply, Fella said:
“See, you are just looking for a problem for me. I wish everyone the best.”
While many felt the question could have been avoided, a lot of them have applauded Fella Makafui for the matured answer.
