Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has expressed frustration over what she describes as the difficulty of securing collaborations with some of her colleagues, despite her willingness to feature on the songs of others when she is asked.
Over the years, Sista Afia has built a catalogue featuring collaborations with some of Ghana’s established musicians, demonstrating her willingness to contribute to projects beyond her own releases.
One notable example is “Broken Heart”, on which she featured alongside rapper Sarkodie. The song appeared on Sarkodie’s Black Love album, released in 2019, and remains one of the collaborations associated with her career.
She also featured on “Nobody”, a song by Fameye, while her collaboration with Mr Drew and rapper Strongman on “Case” further highlighted her involvement in collaborative projects.
Another significant example is “More Money”, on which Sista Afia featured alongside Wendy Shay and Eno Barony on Baba Tundey’s version of the song. She also collaborated with King Paluta on Baabiaa, a love-themed record released in 2025.
Despite all these features, the “Jeje” hitmaker sadly took to her official X page to reveal that some of the musicians she has however approached for collaborations have recently been giving her different reasons for declining her requests.
In a post shared, Sista Afia wrote: “It’s actually funny how I’m calling some of my colleagues for features these days and almost everyone is suddenly busy giving me reasons why they ‘don’t want to do it.’ 😂😂 Crazy Times!!!”
