Media personality Nana Romeo has come out to respond to Prophet Nigel Gaisie’s recent comments about their fallout.

Nigel Gaisie, founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, on Thursday October 30, 2026, broke his silence on the long-standing controversy during an interview on Neat FM’s morning show.

The man of God recounted his relationship with Nana Romeo and addressed allegations that he had snatched the latter’s girlfriend.

During the interview, the prophet mentioned that he had offered Nana Romeo financial assistance on two occasions, including helping him with money to pay his rent.

However, Nana Romeo, who appears to have taken issue with some of the statements made by the man of God, has also come out to give his side of the story.

Speaking on his show on Okay FM on Friday October 31, 2026, after listening to Nigel Gaisie’s interview, Nana Romeo dismissed the claim that the prophet had ever given him money to pay his rent, describing it as a complete lie.

According to him, by the time he met Nigel Gaisie, he was already living in a two-bedroom apartment with a self-contained compound.

To emphasise his position, Nana Romeo swore on everything he held dear, including the grave of his late father, insisting that Nigel Gaisie never counted or sent any money to him throughout their period of friendship.

He explained that the only significant gift Nigel Gaisie promised to give him was a parcel of land at Kasoa after the prophet asked him what he wanted in return for the numerous good things he had done for him.

Nana Romeo recounted that he had contributed to the growth of Nigel Gaisie’s church by bringing musicians such as Ernest Opoku, Grace Ashley and other gospel artistes to perform at the church without charging any performance fees.

He further claimed that he helped settle several issues that arose within the church, including an incident involving popular blogger Sammy
Jay, who was allegedly beaten for bringing a mobile phone into the church at a time when the rules prohibited such activities, particularly when people wanted to communicate with Nigel Gaisie.

He also mentioned a disagreement involving Nigel Gaisie and one of his junior pastors, identified as Godway, who reportedly wanted to leave the church.

According to Nana Romeo, after Nigel Gaisie promised to get him the said piece of land at Kasoa as a thank-you gift for his support, he asked about it once but never received a satisfactory response so he never followed-up again and never bothered the prophet about the land again.

Addressing the possibility of resolving their differences, Nana Romeo said he was willing to make peace with Nigel Gaisie and had already demonstrated this willingness when the prophet visited his studio to apologise.

He explained that he spoke with Nigel Gaisie following the visit and was therefore surprised to subsequently come across the interview in which the prophet discussed their past relationship and made statements he strongly disagrees with.

Nana Romeo maintained that he had no problem reconciling with the man of God but insisted that any genuine attempt at making peace must be built on honesty.

He therefore urged Nigel Gaisie to stop what he described as damage control and come out to tell the truth about what transpired between them.
