Free SHS And Ghana Jobs Bank Ambassador Rahim Banda and Sarkodie at the unveiling of Ex Prez. Kufuor as patron of Ghana jobs Bank

Young Ghanaian actor Rahim Banda has started the year 2018 with two new ambassadorial deals.

The actor born to a Ghanaian father and a Thai mother has been announced as the ambassador for the Free Senior High School policy implemented under the ruling NPP government and the newly launched Ghana Jobs Bank.

The precocious actor’s two new deals were communicated to the press at the unveiling of H.E Ex-Prez. John Agyekum Kufuor as the patron of the Ghana Jobs Bank on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the former leader’s residence in Accra.

Nana Aba Anamoah, host of the event after announcing Rahim Banda as one of the two ambassadors for the Ghana Jobs Bank initiative added that the Mask actor is also a campaigner for the Free SHS.

The Education Minister, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh speaking at the event confirmed Rahim’s appointment as ambassador for Free SHS since it was not publicly announced before the Ghana Jobs Bank event on January 9. The minister added that he is optimistic that the actor will be useful to the programme which was launched in 2017.

Rahim Banda joins his colleague actor Abraham Attah who was named last year as the face of the Free SHS scheme.

Aside Rahim Banda, Steven Ackah, first Ghanaian to Chair the G200 Youth Summit was also named as the ambassador for the Ghana Jobs Bank. They will promote the activities of the Ghana Job Bank and encourage many more youth and young entrepreneurs to take advantage of it

The Ghana Job Bank is an initiative to provide a platform for the youth to acquire skills and hands-on training and nurture young entrepreneur.

Ghanaian musician Sarkodie, actress Joselyn Dumas, and style coach Nancy Adobea Anane who were at the launch of the initiative lauded the idea and vowed to support it.

Other guests who honoured the event include Deputy Communications Minister George Andah and the Turkish Ambassador to Ghana.
