The Board Chairman of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Rex Owusu Marfo, well known as Rex Omar, has fought back after Akoo Nana accused him of misappropriating funds of the organization.
In an earlier publication by Zionfelix.net, Ghanaian musician, Akoo Nana was furious about Rex Omar’s intolerable comments about President Akufo-Addo and making a loose comment about him using state funds on private jets.
Akoo Nana claimed the GHAMRO Chairman who was using a small vehicle has amassed wealth within a short period after he assumed office and he needs to be investigated.
Reacting to Akoo Nana’s rant in an interview with GHOne Television, Rex Omar said the musician is looking for attention.
According to him, Akoo Nana is frustrated, uncivilized and a villager who does not know anything about how GHAMRO operates.
He emphasized that the Attorney General has audited the organization and also all musicians who have their rights assigned to GHAMRO duly receive their royalties.
“This is a frustrated guy who is looking for attention. If it wasn’t for this nonsense would you be even calling me this morning and showing it on your television? Who is Akoo Nana? He did the same thing to Obour. So what is he trying to say? This is an ignoramus, uncivilised villager who thinks he can just spew any rubbish,” Rex Omar stated.
