Mr. Quaye speaking to the claim with Zionfelix on Radio Univers on Monday stated without mincing words that he never in any way told Amanda Jissih that she will not win the female DJ radio presenter of the year because they both work at Multimedia. Merqury Quaye explained that the awards scheme does not dash out plaques to people who do not deserve it so he cannot fathom why he will be accused of telling the former Hitz FM presenter that she will not be given an award she deserved.
To him, all DJs who have ever been nominated for any of the award categories deserved to win so he cannot look one in the face and tell him or her straight that she is the best among the rest. To add up to his defence statement concerning the robbery allegation, Merqury Quaye during the chat with Zionfelix also mentioned that he is not part of the board that nominates and select the winners for the annual awards so there was no way he could know that Amanda Jissih was the winner of that category she has accused him of giving it to another person.
The Hitz FM drivetime host continued to say that most of his colleagues at Multimedia have walked home with Ghana DJ Awards plaques so why would Amanda be denied of the award if she indeed deserved it the very year she was nominated for female radio DJ of the year.
Zionfelix.net hours ago reported that actress/radio/TV presenter and musician Amanda Jissih has made a damning allegation against Merqury Quaye concerning his Ghana DJ Awards event.
Amanda in the post zionfelix.net read alleges that Merqury her former work colleague robbed her of an award she clearly deserved based on the conversation she had with him prior to the organization of the awards. The radio DJ claims that Merqury(who she calls a ‘nigga’) told her that she deserved the award for the category she was nominated for some years ago but because they both work for the same media house, he can’t give the award to her.
Amanda Jissih went further to allege that because she stated that she won’t waste her time and money to attend the Dj awards because of what he refusing he the award she clearly deserved, Merqury started acting funny towards her, forgetting that she gave him the opportunity to advertise his awards on her ‘E-Talk’ show.
