Ghanaian music producer, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, has lamented the negative implications that the outbreak of Coronavirus has had on the music business in the country.
In a recent interview with the Ghana News Agency chanced upon by Zionfelix.net, the popular music producer said the ban placed on public gatherings which led to the cancellations of entertainment shows have brought hardships on industry players.
He feared all aspects of the industry would suffer if the situation doesn’t change for the better.
“So many sectors have been massively hit and the entertainment industry has not been spared either and it would affect individuals and groups in the music business.
“Musicians can still record songs and release them but in an industry where players largely depend on shows and festival to earn a living it means some would certainly be affected,’’ he stated.
Appietus further advised musicians in Ghana to adopt different strategies and make money in these difficult times.
