A Ghanaian artist, Baah Solomon Aboagye has explained why he turned down a deal to create a caricature portrait for the son of Dr Kwame Osei Despite, Kennedy Osei and his wife Tracy Ameyaw.
In a post sighted by zionfelix.net, the artist revealed the commissioner didn’t approach him early for the work to be done.
He indicated that the work would have given him a lot of money but time was not on his side.
Solomon Aboagye wrote: “A CARICATURE PORTRAIT was supposed to be presented at the wedding (#despites_son “But gotta think of it, I’m still surprised how the commissioner got my personal contact. It makes me feel people know me closer than myself. Anyway I’m hoping he comes back another time.” Kennedy Osei and Tracy’s wedding ceremony attracted a lot of attention in the country. The couple’s white wedding ceremony took place at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Shiashi in Accra.
