Ghanaian TikTok star Asantewaa has publicly clashed with her brother, Kay Verli, after he commented on her highly publicised breakup with her baby daddy, AMG Armani, sparking a heated family dispute that has since dominated social media conversations.
The drama unfolded after Kay Verli reportedly accused his sister of portraying herself as a victim following the breakup. He also suggested that the couple’s children were being well cared for by their father, comments that did not sit well with the popular content creator.
In a strongly worded response shared on social media, Asantewaa fired back at her brother, although she later deleted the post. However, Instagram blog ThoseCalledCelebs captured and reposted the message before it was taken down, allowing it to continue circulating online.
In the now-deleted statement, Asantewaa reminded Kay Verli of the sacrifices she made after the death of their parents. According to her, she took on the responsibility of supporting him financially, paying his school fees and providing for his needs when they were left as orphans.
She also recalled standing firmly by him during a previous legal issue despite having no involvement in the matter. Asantewaa claimed she endured public criticism and even experienced difficulties while pregnant because of the controversy, yet chose to remain silent throughout the ordeal.
“The same victim player that got millions of enemies in the media because of your issue, I knew nothing about? The same victim player that was treated like a criminal in police custody with my pregnancy because of an issue I knew nothing about and still kept quiet?” she wrote.
She continued by questioning why her brother chose to involve himself in her personal relationship, insisting he knew very little about the circumstances surrounding her breakup.
Asantewaa’s post ended on an emotional note, expressing deep disappointment in her brother and accusing him of being disrespectful and ungrateful despite the support she had offered him over the years.
The public exchange has generated widespread reactions on social media, with many Ghanaians expressing surprise at the rare family fallout. While some sympathised with Asantewaa over her claims of sacrifice and loyalty, others called on the siblings to resolve their differences privately.
