Albert Nat Hyde, otherwise known as Bongo Ideas, has broken his silence after he was allegedly arrested recently.

The Ghanaian blogger and social media critic was reportedly picked up by some men at the dawn of March 14, 2024.

Following speculations that he was picked up by some police officers and personnel from the National Security, these institutions denied in separate statements.

Finally, Bongo Ideas broke his silence about the incident in an interview with German-based DW on its recent episode of Flip Side.

He claimed his life was threatened.

“On March 14, 2024, around 3 am, some men masquerading as police officers broke into my room and dragged me out.

“I was threatened to be killed, where pistols were pointed to my head and I was told to say my last prayers. They beat me up and warned me never to speak about the president,” Bongo Ideas stated.

Bongo’s alleged pick-up came a few days after he made derogatory remarks about President Akufo-Addo and his wife, Rebecca. Based on this, many people believed there was a linkage.
