Songstress Efya is bent on tackling the alarming issue of excessive plastic waste in Ghana.

Environmental specialists all over the world are constantly canvassing for people to stay away from improper disposal of plastic waste.

Ghana’s lands and water bodies in particular is being choked with plastic waste. These include polyethylene, which creates shopping bags, bubble wrap, flexible bottles and lots more.

Speaking to Zionfelix at the Labadi beach, a very worried Efya called on the general public to desist from using plastic waste which is not biodegradable.

She suggested diverse ways of recycling should be adopted to reduce the effect waste has on land and aquatic animals.

As part of her efforts to create public awareness, she is organizing a concert at the Accra stadium together with EL, Stonebwoy, Gyedu Blay Ambulley and lots of other musicians.

The concert is slated for the 28th of September 2019.
