On September 21, 2023, a tense scene unfolded at the main gate of the Accra Regional Police Command, involving Evans Ago Tetteh, the husband of Metro TV newscaster Bridget Otoo.

Mr. Tetteh arrived at the police command visibly furious, having received distressing news about his wife’s encounter with law enforcement officers at the station.

This unfortunate incident had left Bridget Otoo with a torn top, adding to the growing concerns surrounding the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protests.

Tetteh’s arrival at the police station was marked by intense anger and defiance as he confronted the police officers, daring them to lay a finger on his wife once more.

Despite pleas for calm, he remained resolute in his defense of Bridget Otoo. Eventually, he met with his wife and left the premises, but not without leaving a strong impression.

Hours later, Bridget Otoo took to social media to share the circumstances surrounding her husband’s emotional arrival at the police station while reacting to a video of how he arrived on Twitter.

In a tweet, she offered an apology to anyone who may have witnessed his erratic driving on the Winneba road. She revealed that he had covered the distance in less than an hour, even though he was originally supposed to be attending a workshop in the Central Region.

She expressed relief that he had arrived safely and was en route back to Winneba.
