Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Burna Boy, recently revealed a surprising reason for turning down a $5 million performance deal in Dubai.
The Grammy-winning artist explained that he rejected the lucrative offer due to restrictions on smoking in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Burna Boy pointed out that the strict Emirati laws prohibit smoking in various public areas, including parks and beaches in Dubai.
He emphasized his preference for being able to smoke and stated, “I can’t go to any place where I would be restricted from smoking.”
