After holding on to the coveted title as Ghana’s most streamed music video on Youtube since 2020, Sarkodie, who is Africa’s most decorated rapper has finally lost the bragging rights to talented musician, Camidoh.

In the early hours of Saturday, May 11, 2024, the music video for Camidoh’s smash hit single “Sugarcane Remix” which features King Promise, Mayorkun and Darkoo, took over the spot as Ghana’s most streamed song on Youtube.

While Sarkodie’s “Adonai” which feature Castor has garnered over 97,435,292 views and counting, GB Record’s signee, Camidoh and his “Sugarcane Remix” currently have garnered 97,448,986 views and counting.

It should be noted that Sarkodie’s “Adonai” was shot by Nana Asihene and released as far back as June 2014, Camidoh on the otherhand released the “Sugarcane Remix” video in June 2022.

The goes to show that it took the “Kaba” hitmaker a a little close to two years to achieve this beautiful feat and must be congratulated.
