The Adenta Circuit Court has issued an arrest warrant for the deputy minister for tourism, arts and culture Mark Okraku-Mantey.

The court issued the warrant on Tuesday January 2022 following the failure of the deputy minister to appear before it.

The lawyer of the deputy minister also failed to appear before the court but with permission.

The deputy minister forcefully gained access to a land belonging to one Alhaji Tony Baba according to the prosecution.

Okraku-Mantey and his lawyer failed to be present to continue the completion of the case management for the trial to begin according to reports.

Superintendent of Police Patience Mario prayed the court to order for his arrest which was granted by the presiding judge Sedinam Awo Balokah.

The case has been adjourned to February 8 2022.
