After some viral videos and photos of Ghanaians revelers living in Tema and its environs having a lot of fun at the Tema Titanic beach yesterday, March 22, 2020, despite the ban on social gathering in the wake of fears of the coronavirus disease hit online, the Ghana Tourism Authority has acted.

In a statement that has been sighted by zionfelix.net, the GTA has called for the immediate closure of all beaches across the country as part of measures to deal with the spread of coronavirus.

The closure takes effect from tomorrow March 24, 2020, and it will see police officers patrolling the major beaches to ensure strict adherence to this order.
