The perception by many event organizers out there is that top stars in the music industry usually charge exorbitant prices when you need them to perform at a show. This perception and a further accusation by someone, has caused the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Hip-hop song of the year winner, Kwesi Arthur, to give clarity on the amount he charges for shows he performs after it was wildly rumored that he takes over 40K.

The Tema based rap sensation told Zionfelix on the latest episode of ‘Celebrity Ride with Zionfelix Show’ that the amount he charges for every show varies. He adds that for him to decide to charge 40k or over for any particular show, then the particular show may be a huge one.

The ‘Woara’ hitmaker also revealed on the show that his rates for shows he performs at are not even determined by him. His management usually decides the amount they will take for a show and as such, it is not even possible to talk to him (Kwesi Arthur) if you need him a show, since you would have to go through his management.
