GHOne Television has been heavily criticized after they aired an explicit content on the ‘Duvet’ show on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
The management of the station has duly apologized for the mishap with an assurance that the unfortunate incident won’t happen again.
“GHOne TV wishes to sincerely apologise to its cherished viewers on the unfortunate turn of events regarding your favourite late-night programme, DUVET, a few hours ago. Even though the show is X-rated, we concede that the nature of the content tonight was inappropriate. Meanwhile, tonight’s edition was taken off a few minutes into the show.
“The President’s 6th address on government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic was fully aired. Whilst we promise that this incident will not repeat itself, we will also ensure that the officers responsible for the mishap are sanctioned. Kindly accept our apology, with any inconvenience caused, deeply regretted. Thank you,” the Acting General Manager of GHOne TV, Nana Aba Anamoah said in a statement.
However, it appears critics of the station have not accepted the apology in a good faith—as trolls and comments about the incident are yet to cease.
The Ghana-based entertainment TV channel, owned by Excellence In Broadcasting Networks (EIB Networks) has contributed immensely towards the development of the country. With contents which comprise of lifestyle, music, fashion, series, children’s programs, comedy, and tourism, GHOne TV’s effort should not be undermined. Mistakes are bound to happen in every organization or human institutions, so we at Zionfelix.net think Ghanaians should forgive the station for the inauspicious incident.
The station’s contribution cut across all sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
Apart from the general contribution of the station towards nation-building, the program in question, ‘Duvet Show’ known to be one of the most-watched television shows in Ghana has caused more good than harm through modus vivendi education. Following the inception of the Duvet Show two years ago, peace has prevailed at many homes, relationships and marriages have been saved.

For its years in existence, the show is known to be X-rated and parents and guardians have been cautioned to control their children from viewing the content.
Let us take the words of the handlers of the station with the promise to improve and serve more quality contents henceforth.
