The Embassy of Ghana in the United States of America has endorsed top Ghanaian musicians, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.

The two musicians were selected to represent Ghana at the 2020 Memphis in May International Festival.

“We are extremely delighted to announce that Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have been endorsed by Ghana to represent us at the 2020 Memphis in May International Festival,” the Embassy announced in a post sighted by zionfelix.net on Facebook.

Following the announcement, the organizers expressed their happiness and readiness to host these Ghanaian music giants and other patrons.

“We’re excited to host them, and for the many other ways we will honor the country this May!” the organizers of the event replied.

The mission of Memphis in May International Festival is to promote and celebrate Memphis culture, foster economic growth, and enhance international awareness through education.

Activities scheduled to take place include Month-long Salute to Ghana: May 1-31, 2020, Beale Street Music Festival: May 1-3, 2020, World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest: May 13-16, 2020 and Great American River Run 5K, 10K and Half Marathon: May 23, 2020.

As we reported earlier, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy will share the same stage with popular American rapper, Lil Wayne and other top international artistes.
