Emotional moment Black Sherif dedicated his performance at Abu Dhabi to Christian Atsu

Ghanaian music superstar, Black Sherif, paid an emotional tribute to late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu during his performance at the Dubai 2023 Wireless Festival.

In a video, he shared on his Instagram handle, the Kweku The Traveller hitmaker was seen performing to an excited crowd.

During Black Sherif’s performance, Christian Atsu’s name was shown on a big screen behind him.

Rest in Peace Atsu was displayed on the large screen behind Black Sherif as part of the tribute message.

After a while, the screen read ‘gone but never forgotten’ before transforming into a collage of his photos.

The touching tribute was aired whilst Sherif delivered a cover of Bob Marley‘s Redemption Song.

Christian Atsu died at age 31 in a devastating earthquake that occurred in Turkey and some parts of Syria on February 6, 2023.
