eShun, the Ghanaian Singer and Performer put up a world-class performance at the 4thAnniversary Commemoration event organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Wednesday 14th November 2018 at the UN Headquarters, Geneva – Switzerland.

eShun performed the I Belong Song which she composed for the Statelessness Campaign and one of her loved songs DIDADI. The applause after her performance was resounding and after the event, the audience could not hide the joy.

Other highlights of the event were the speech given by the High Commissioner Filippo Grandi and a formerly stateless woman Artee who has been granted nationality and lives in Thailand.

Before she performed the I Belong song eShun said that so many people don’t know about the Statelessness though it is a very big problem – so she said that continue to use her music to create the needed awareness to bring eradicate statelessness by 2024.

“I want to say kudos to all the countries in Africa and around that world who are making changes to eradicate Statelessness. Thank You,” eShun added.

Statelessness is a situation where a person is denied of his or her nationality. It is estimated that at least 10 million people are stateless worldwide: they are not considered as nationals by any State under the operation of its law. They often aren’t allowed to go to school, see a doctor, get a job, open a bank account, buy a house or even get married.
eShun is expected to release the official music video for her latest hit song Akyia on the 21stof November 2018.
