USA-based Ghanaian filmmaker, Leila Djansi, has lost her sister, Emefa Efua Djansi.

She sadly announced the death of her sister in a post on Facebook a few days ago.

Leila revealed the pains her sister, who was battling a stroke before she passed on was in.

The assertive filmmaker wishes her sister will have a peaceful sleep.

She wrote: “The death of a parent hurts! But no one tells you about the death of a sibling. My only sister. Emefa…. We spent life together now I gotta continue all by myself. But you were in so much pain, so it’s ok. Go sleep it off. I’ll take it one day at a time. I got momma and I got the kids, they’ll be fine because God’s got us. Rest easy. Afua, baba sia. Sleep peacefully. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Stroke is no respector of person or age. Take care of yourselves.”

Emefa Efua Djansi reportedly died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on January 5, 2023.

The deceased, 44, was a journalist and a pollical activist. She worked with Joy FM and Citi FM as a correspondent from Ho, some years ago.

She left behind two children.

May her soul rest in peace.
