The writer is Osei Chris Kofi. I have three strong passions in life — football, blogging and movies — in that order. I love spending time with friends talking about the important things in life and hate nothing more than ‘authority’ and hypocrisy. My personal believe in life is that once an individual sets his/her mind to achieve something, it is totally possible. And oh!, I am a strong Lannister, because I always pay my debt. On the day when Ghana, marks its 62nd anniversary after Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the other five bigwigs fought for its independence, ‘former’ comedian turned reggae musician, David Oscar has totally lashed out at the country and the leaders for continuously struggling to make the country a ‘shitty’ one.

According to him, there is nothing worth celebrating after all these years of gaining independence because the country is a failing one. He makes the point in the post sighted by zionfelix.net on his Facebook wall that the country has failed to see any meaningful progress because thieves and criminals have clad themselves in political colors pretending to be looking out for the masses while taking turns in robbing the state.

He also uses his post to give a very stern warning to all his Facebook friends to make sure they don’t send him any message about Ghana independence day celebration.

The Do Nation boss stressed that should any of his many friends fail to heed to the warning, he will make sure that he deletes the message they send to his timeline without breaking a sweat.

“I beg, with all due respect … If you are planning to wish this shitty country a happy independence day today …. Kindly take me out of your list first before you do that. If not, I will do it myself if your wishes appear on my timeline …. Cos honestly I don’t know what is there about this “gradually failing state” to celebrate.
