Shock and grief have spread across Ghana’s entertainment industry following reports of the death of actress Beverly Afaglo.
Her husband, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster or Praye Honeho of the music group Praye, confirmed the heartbreaking news in an emotional Instagram post shared on Sunday, May 24, 2026. In the tribute, the musician poured out his sorrow over losing his wife just days before her birthday. He described Beverly as the source of his happiness, strength and motivation throughout their years together.
He wrote: “My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo!!! It would have been just like 4 More days to your birthday but I guess the Lord wanted to Celebrate with you so he Called you 🙏😢 You were my strength, My Happiness, and the reason my life felt Complete.
Every Moment with you was a blessing I will Cherish Forever !!

Following the announcement, fans, colleagues and loved ones took to social media to mourn the actress, remembering her contributions to Ghana’s movie industry and the impact she made through her work.
The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed. Beverly Afaglo was 42 years old.
