Promising Ghanaian US based gospel musician, Ama Kutin has unleashed her much anticipated ‘Journey Album’ which is currently available on all music streaming stores.

A ten track studio album which captures glimpses of bilingual culture, intrinsically more nuanced than monolingual songs, being her maiden studio album and employs the help of other prolific writers just so it comes out as expected.

The album cuts across a number of genres, ranging from Ghanaian highlife, jazz, acappella, church music, hymn among others. The album features fabled artistes in Ghana and the diaspora, including KODA, and The Manifest.

The ‘Journey’ album was launched in a grand style amidst virtual and in-person listening session graced by many prominent individuals around the Christian fraternity and some gospel musicians like Herty Corgie and Humphrey Tetteh. The first of it’s kind to have hit the diaspora gospel space.

According to Ama Kutin who is a professional nurse, apart from music, noted at the listening session that her ‘Journey’ album was recorded in the Covid-19 days and was inspired by the pandemic and most importantly, her journey as a Christian.

The album was produced by KODA, Dave Da Musicbox, Lord’s Digital Studio (Walter Twumasi), and all vocals recorded at SubCat Studios in Syracuse, NY, USA.

Apart from Perez Musik and Elijah The Worshiper who are on record to have released an EP in first quarter of 2023, Dr. Ama Kutin is the first Ghanaian gospel musician to have released an album in 2023, January. Though US based.

In addition to the album launch and listening, the musician made known her humanitarian initiative by the ‘Ama Kutin Ministries’ in collaboration with  Seven7 Africa : An event production and Management Company in Ghana and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to embark on an ‘Hear Me Out’ fund raising project to raise some funds amounting to $15000.00 specifically for the ‘Ear, Nose And Throat’ Department At The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. A good initiative that must be wholeheartedly supported by all.

Ama Kutin is currently signed on to the ’77 Africa’ Music label with many smash hits to her credit. Kindly stream her debut album, ‘The Journey’ on all music stores.
