Following the literal social media baptism of fire, she has suffered in the last 24 hours, social media sensation, Hajia Bintu has finally come out to render an unqualified apology.

As [art of her work as a brand influencer, Hajia Bintu was seen in a video that has gone viral endorsing a product that is supposed to be a love portion or some kind of juju to be used on men.

In the said video, the socialite claimed that these products when used by women will ensure things like ‘fuck n stay’, ‘love & pay’, and ‘attraction to richman’.

She came under heavy criticism on social media because many people felt this was a no-brainer.

Despite the defense from people like rapper Medikal, Hajia Bintu took to her Snapchat page in the evening of Thursday, April 13, 2023, to state that she was very sorry for advertising the product.

I want to take this opportunity to apologize to all. I promote products for various brands and this time my management team and I, were negligent in accessing the effects of marketing products that a vendor brought to us. I have no intentions to attract such “out of line” effects on the General Public, myself and my brand. I am sincerely sorry for this act,” Hajia Bintu wrote.

Notwithstanding her apology, the likes of broadcast journalist, Afia Pokuaa aka the Vim Lady has asked the Inspector General of Police, the Food and Drugs Authority, and other relevant bodies to take the matter up.
