Akoo Nana has spoken straight from his shoulder that he is not interested in the contribution of the government towards the creative arts industry.

The ‘Amponsah’ singer in a conversation with Zionfelix.net after a press conference held in Kasoa on Thursday to officially outdoor “Akoo Nana Homecoming and Money Making Management” disclosed that the president and his appointees’ plans for the industry in which he finds himself is not his worry.

According to him, he is much interested in what the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has to offer its members because that is where he directly benefits from.

The musician real name William Ato Ankrah when further asked if he is all right with the government’s support for the arts sector after a year in office replied that he is not into politics so he has no interest in what they offer. To him, he twirls towards the direction he finds mistakes in the industry so that he can put those in charge on their toes.

Akoo Nana during the conversation added that he sees Obour’s administration as a major problem for the industry but not the government.

“For Me I don’t do politics. Where I see fault in the industry is where I am hitting so I do not care about the president’s side for our industry. I want the industry’s tree to be tall and from the things I see, Obour is the first person to be touched. From Obour, I can touch another person so that we all come together and build the industry but not the presidential house” Akoo Nana told Zionfelix.net.

The musician launched “Akoo Nana Homecoming and Money Making Management” at the Remys Lodge in Kasoa, a suburb in the Central Region of Ghana with a tall list of activities.

A health walk commences the “Akoo Nana Homecoming and Money Making Management” on Sunday, January 21 and ends with a convoy with over 3,000 inhabitants of Kasoa on January 27 this year.

The ceremony he said is to empower the youth and reduce unemployment in the area.
