Ghanaian record producer, GuiltyBeatz has disclosed he didn’t believe the authenticity of an email he first received from Beyonce’s team even before working on some songs on her upcoming album, The Lion King: The Gift.

According to him, he ignored the message for some time and lost an earlier deal to produce a beat for the Queen.

GuiltyBeatz stated in an interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty which was monitored by Zionfelix.net, that he verified the genuineness of the message after he travelled to New York.

“I was contacted last year for a different project but I didn’t believe it was them…It came via email. They were saying they needed an instrumental for a performance. I didn’t really follow up…so they ended up using a South African song.

“I went to New York some few months back. I met up with the A&R and communicated with them and that was how the whole deal started,” he disclosed.

GuiltyBeatz produced three songs on Beyonce’s yet to be released ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ album which featured Shatta Wale.

The 14 track album is scheduled to be released on Friday, July 19 2019.
