Tales of how many Ghanaian youths who for one reason or the other travel to many foreign countries, especially many of these Arab countries in search for jobs, because they can’t find one in Ghana, have been heard a lot of times.

While some people are able to survive the hardships and achieve their aim of traveling, many others, who are able to live through the struggles, usually end up regretting that they ever made the trip.

Actress Louisa Adinkra is one of such people who believe that the desire to travel to some of these countries is nothing but a very stupid decision. Speaking with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show about her trip to Damascus some ten years ago, the actress stated that she nearly committed suicide because she could no longer bear all the pain, maltreatment and hardships meted out to her.

The mother of two disclosed that there were cases when she was asked to put her bare hands into water with a lot of chemicals and wash a story building at very cold hours in the night. She emphasized that there was no other option than to obey because failure meant that you will receive some severe beatings.

Asked what took her to such a country, Louisa revealed that her desire to go to Spain and work to cater for her younger siblings landed her in that unfortunate circumstance.

She advised people who have plans to go to any of these countries to try and quickly change their minds.
