Business mogul, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has offered to set up a cement distribution including construction hardware depot for xenophobia victim, Emmanuel Asamoah.
This comes days after he assured the Minister for Foreign Affairs of his support. At a meeting held in his office together with Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr. Mahama made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians living in South Africa to return home and contribute meaningfully to national development through employment opportunities in his company, based on their skill sets. He called on Ghanaians facing hardship abroad to return home to venture into business or learn a trade and he’s willing to support.
In a remarkable gesture of support, Mr. Ibrahim gifted Emmanuel Asamoah GH¢200,000 to enable him take a one-month break to reunite with his family before returning to Accra to start his new business.
Emmanuel Asamoah voluntarily decided to venture into the hardware business, leaving behind his nails and hairdressing business in South Africa.
Mr. Ibrahim Mahama commended Ghana’s High Commissioner for his dedicated service and commitment to the welfare of Ghanaians in South Africa.
Mr. Ibrahim encouraged Emmanuel Asamoah to remain strong, disciplined and focused as he embarks on this new chapter of his life.
