Ghanaian journalist, Serwaa Amihere has a strong caution for anti-vaxxers in Ghana.

As the country heads towards Christmas with Omicron cases also on the rise, the Government of Ghana has made it mandatory for all travelers coming into the country to show vaccine cards. Airlines are expected to pay hefty fines per unvaccinated passenger they bring into the country.

It is not yet clear but as we get near to Christmas, there might be policies mandating people to show vaccination documents before one can attended the hundreds of concerts and events lined up for the holidays.

Meanwhile, some top figures in the country are vehemently against the vaccine mandates being instituted by the Government. One of these outspoken figures is the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi. He however insists the stance is his personal stance and not that of his political party.

Ghanaian socialite, Efia Odo is also against the mandatory vaccination being proposed by government. In protest, the actress has decided to stay in the country and not travel because she is not ready to take any disapproved vaccine.

Serwaa Amihere is however issuing a word of caution to all the anti-vaxxers. Her request is simple; if you won’t take the vaccine, sit at home. Don’t come out to any event and endanger anybody’s life.
