Popular Ghanaian broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko has lamented about the Food and Drugs Authority’s ban placed on celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages.

In a post sighted zionfelix.net, KOD revealed it has been difficult for event organizers in the country to get support from companies dealing in alcoholic products.

He said both Ghanaian celebrities and event organizers are struggling following the FDA directive.

He also questioned those at losing side as these companies have settled on Nigerian celebrities to promote the products.

KOD wrote on Facebook: “FDA says celebrities can’t endorse alcoholic brands. Alcoholic brand owner goes to Nigeria to get Naija celebs to endorse their brand. Who loses here….?

“We can’t even get these companies with budget to support our events. WE ARE STRUGGLING PAAAAA ooooo. You’re done with an event and people are like IT WAS FABULOUS! If only they know what we go through to settle our bills.”
