Ghanaian actor and musician, Kwadwo Nkansah, affectionately known as Lilwin, has finally dropped the long-awaited trailer for his upcoming movie, “A Country Called Ghana.”

The trailer which happens to be a mind-blowing one, captures various scenes with top stars who were cast showcasing their talents.

The movie which is by directed by Fiifi Ghabin, boasts of a star-studded cast including renowned Nollywood actors Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu, also known as ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp.’

“A Country Called Ghana” is a comedic portrayal of Ghanaian culture and resilience against Western influences. Lilwin takes on the role of an English interpreter navigating the complexities of a local community with limited education, delivering uproarious moments throughout the narrative.

Speaking about the project, Lilwin expressed his excitement about having Nigerian actors join the cast, highlighting the efforts to meet Netflix standards and deliver top-notch entertainment.

“We are in the final days of shooting the movie and gearing up for nationwide premieres. This project has been meticulously crafted to deliver quality content, and I urge Ghanaians to come out and support us,” Lilwin remarked in an interview.

The movie will premiere at the National Theatre on Friday, May 17, 2024, followed by screenings at the KNUST CCB Auditorium in Kumasi on Saturday, May 25, 2024. The grand finale will be held at the Eubsett Hotel in Sunyani on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.

Early bird tickets are currently available for purchase, with standard tickets priced at GHC200 and VIP tickets at GHC500. The red carpet events will commence at 6:00 p.m., leading up to the premiere at 8:00 p.m. local time.
