Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has revealed that the financial demands of his latest movie project have been weighing heavily on him, even affecting his sleep.

The Kumawood actor and filmmaker is currently working on his much-anticipated movie, Journey to Africa, which features several prominent Nigerian actors.

In a video shared online, Lilwin explained that his decision to bring some of the Nigerian stars to Ghana has left him constantly thinking about the money he still owes them.

He said the pressure has become so intense that he sometimes dreams about the actors asking for their outstanding payments.

According to Lilwin, Kanayo O Kanayo, one of the Nigerian stars involved in the project, frequently appears in these dreams as he worries about settling the balance owed to the cast.

“I can’t sleep. I sometimes wake up at dawn all of a sudden; it feels like I owe them. It feels like Kanayo O Kanayo is demanding his balance.

“I didn’t sleep yesterday. I woke up around 2 AM. I was dreaming, and they were demanding their balance,” he said.

Lilwin also addressed perceptions that he has enough money to single-handedly finance the ambitious production.

The actor dismissed such assumptions, joking that a review of his bank accounts by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) would likely show a very different picture.

“You think I have money; EOCO should come and check my accounts. After they go through my accounts, they will be the ones to even deposit money inside for me,” he added.

Journey to Africa has attracted attention partly because of the calibre of Nigerian actors involved, with Lilwin taking on the challenge of bringing the Ghanaian and Nigerian film industries together for the project.
