The host of Kumasi based Abusua FM’s ‘Abusua Entertainment Show’, Austine Woode has called on the president of the Republic of Ghana to as a matter of urgency fire his minister of Tourism and Creative Arts, Madam Catherine Afeku if indeed she made some comments which have been attributed to her.

The radio presenter made this call when popular filmmaker, Mr. James Aboagye, revealed on his show on Saturday, January 5, 2018, that the minister told them (members of the creative arts in Kumasi) to go and consult and make some valuable inputs to the contractor who has been charged with the task of refurbishing the Kumasi Cultural Center to give it a befitting facelift.

Austine in his submission stated that he would be very surprised if the minister indeed made those remarks. According to him, no minister of state, worth his or her salt will make such remarks because there was no way these inputs and consultation was going to yield any important result.

The ‘Abusua Chat Show’ host also asked the question of how the minister expected the contractor, who had won a bid through the proper procurement process to take any opinions that will be given by these industry players into any meaningful use when the project was supposed to start in just about three days after their meeting which took place on Friday, January 4, 2018.
