Budding Ghanaian Afropop artiste, Efe Kyez has revealed the ill-treatment up and coming musicians receive from some event organizers.

The ‘Juju’ composer sadly stated in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that the majority of event organizers refuse to pay budding musicians because they think they are doing them a favour to showcase their talents.

“I have realised that as a young artiste coming up, big shows are not really for me since the event organisers will always put bigger artistes ahead of you. On the event that you are even billed, you get nothing in return for your services since they think they are doing you a favour.

“So I have resolved to play at smaller events and at where I can get value for my services. Music only pays if you are wise and professional and I’m proud to say I have acquired something through music.

“As a live performer, I get invitations to many corporate shows, weddings and parties. For now, this is what I have assigned myself to and with time, I will build a solid audience across the world,” she stated.

Efe Kyez disclosed her readiness to release two (2) singles before the Christmas festivities.
